The 69th Annual Monterey City Amateur, the 14th Annual Monterey City Senior Amateur, AND THE 1ST ANNUAL SUPER SENIOR will be held June 29-July 1, 2018 at Del Monte Golf Course (the Senior and Super Senior events are contested over two days only - Friday and Saturday). We will be pairing in threesomes and starting on both the 1st and 10th tees. There will be a morning wave (7:30AM to 9:30AM) and an afternoon wave beginning at 12:20PM. If you are in the championship flight, you may request your Friday start time as: early or late AM, or (size of Senior Field depending) early PM. Morning and afternoon sessions will reverse on Saturday. (Early AM Friday will have early PM times on Saturday). A cut will be made to the low-half and ties after Saturday. If your index is greater than 3.0, you will have a choice between the championship and the net flight … please indicate your selection on your entry. Senior and Super Senior Amateur contestants and the net flight will play in the afternoon on Friday and in the morning on Saturday. Championship, Senior and Super Senior Amateur events played at scratch, net flight at June 1st or June 15th index, whichever is lower. The maximum handicap will be 18 for this event. Championship Flight (gross scoring only - players must have an index less than 5.1). The majority of tee times will be Friday morning and then Saturday afternoon - followed by a cut to low-half and ties. [Depending on the size of the net and Senior events, there will probably be a few Friday afternoon times available. Those times will be allocated by entry date.] There will be one net flight (tee times will be Friday afternoon and Saturday morning - followed by a cut to the low-half and ties). Players with an index higher than 3.0 may choose to enter the net flight.

Senior Amateur

Players must be at least 50 years old and have a current index less than 6.8. Only players 55 and over can score NCGA senior points. Super Senior participants must be at least 65. These events will be gross scoring only and will run concurrently with the first two days of the City Amateur. The first day tee times for the Senior and Super Senior participants will be sometime between 12:00PM and 2:00PM on Friday, June 29th. There will be no cut in these tournaments. Senior players will have the opportunity to also play in the regular City Amateur event if they choose. Please send an email to if you would like to play in both tournaments.
